NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national insurance scheme that shares the cost of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers.

Regardless of what type of disability you have or where you live, the NDIS will enable you to access services to help improve how you live your life. Everyone’s needs are different. The aim of the NDIS is to build supports, giving you greater independence and the tools to choose the type of care and support you need, to lead the life you want.

On the 1st July 2017, the NDIS will commence roll out in the areas of Northern Adelaide and Mid North of South Australia.

How can we help?

Barossa Home & Community Options is the community division of Barossa Enterprises. We offer a range of programs and activities that promote independence, physical and psychological wellbeing. Our programs teach everyday skills in a safe and fun environment which help people develop their abilities and provide opportunities to make new friends and engage in the community.

And the cost?

Our supports are funded through the NDIS. Barossa Enterprises will quote and charge for supports according to the published NDIS Price Guide. We currently charge according to the Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) rate which is in accordance with the July 2019 NDIS Price Guide and can be referenced by those codes ending with “T”.

The price guide is adjusted regularly and we match our support charges accordingly. On occasion there maybe some out-of-pocket expenses for non-support items and materials for some activities (eg. lunches and entry fees). These are only charged if you have agreed to access them.
