Skills Plus is an innovative and creative program developed to engage and assist people requiring support, to explore enterprise opportunities in a caring and supportive environment.

Participants can learn workplace skills, by identifying and developing products and services that add value for customers, while creating employment opportunities.

The Skills Plus program also accommodates people who are looking to slow down as they transition out of employment, whilst maintaining skills and a connection to the community.

Through this program, participants:

  • build confidence and independence

  • develop new skills

  • have fun

  • form friendships

  • be part of a team

The products and services generated through the program encourages people to engage with the community, be part of a micro-business and become involved in a range of new experiences.

Skills Plus is an alternative to our Community Options program. We work alongside people to turn ideas and hobbies into suited enterprises.

Within the Skills Plus program, people can be involved in;

  • a woodwork based program

  • develop their own micro-business in an area they have a passion or particular interest

With assistance from a Support Worker, we can help guide you every step of the way.
