School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)
Barossa Enterprises is a registered provider for the School Leavers Supports (SLES) program under the NDIS.
SLES offers individual or group setting support for those students in their final year of school OR have recently left school (up to 22 years old) to build their capacity, confidence and job readiness skills for up to 2 years.
These supports and programs will assist school leavers to develop employability skills required to find and maintain employment in mainstream work. You will be able to work at your own pace within both classroom and practical environments which are supportive, capacity building and fun.
Who can apply
You are in your final year of school OR have have recently left school (up to 22 years old) who are; Eligible NDIS participants who have; Completed a EPQ to determine their eligibility for SLES.
Expected Outcomes
Develop confidence, self-esteem, motivation and capacity for work.
Exposure to, and experience in a work-like environment that will assist in developing individuals understanding of workplace expectations and culture.
Develop vocational skills including practical experience in a work environment, WHS/Safety in the Workplace as well as key employability skills: Team work, communication, problem solving, initiative, planning and organization, self-management.
Community involvement and increased social participation.
